Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Marketing Director (m/f/d) to lead all marketing efforts across the customer journey, from awareness to repeat bookings. You’ll own the marketing strategy, team, and performance, driving measurable growth through data, creativity, and smart execution.
Working closely with Product, Content, and Commercial teams, you’ll connect performance, brand, and B2B marketing into one powerful growth engine. You’ll lead with clarity, set priorities, and ensure journaway’s marketing is as inspiring as the journeys we create.

Your mission
Make your mark. Shape and drive the marketing vision that inspires travelers, strengthens our brand, and powers business growth.
Define the strategy: Translate business goals into clear, data-driven marketing strategies that span brand, destination, performance, and promotional activities.
Own the roadmap: Lead the annual and quarterly marketing calendar, ensuring alignment with commercial, content, and product priorities.
Lead by systems: Implement smart frameworks, automation, and AI tools to sharpen focus and efficiency.
Drive execution: Oversee full-funnel marketing across paid, owned, and earned channels — from Meta and Google Ads to social, influencer, and CRM.
Empower growth: Own performance marketing and CRM/lifecycle campaigns to increase conversions, repeat bookings, and referrals.
Foster experimentation: Introduce robust A/B testing and data-led optimization across campaigns, content, and user journeys.
Inspire collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to continuously improve our booking funnel, CRO, and user experience.
Expand destinations: Launch and grow new trip types, destinations, and travel themes through impactful product and destination marketing.
Lead B2B excellence: Scale partnership, travel agency, and co-marketing initiatives that bring travelers closer to their next adventure.
Build a high-performing team: Lead with clarity, feedback, and accountability. Foster a culture of creativity, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
Measure what matters: Track and analyze KPIs including CAC, CLTV, CVR, traffic, bookings, and margin to inform smarter decisions and sustainable growth.
